History of Federal Express

Federal Express was founded 1971 by Fred Smith in Little Rock, Arkansas, soon moved his business to Memphis, Tennessee in 1973 due to some problems in the airport authorities did not allow the activity of the airline. The name was chosen as a symbol of the U.S. domestic market, and was intended to get most government contracts. In 2009, FedEx is recognized as a leader in Asia, with over 14,000 employees serving more than 30 countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific, FedEx continues to expand and improve emergency services in Asia and the Pacific. In February 2009, FedEx launched its Asia Pacific Center in Guangzhou, which serves the entire Asia-Pacific region. This center has improved connectivity and allows FedEx to expand operations.
In September 2009, FedEx starts delivery service in its first B777F aircraft, which will start flying between the U.S. and Asia in 2010 and reduce transit times from 1 to 3 hours.
