Mikhail Prokhorov

Mikhail Prokhorov was born in Moscow on May 3, 1965. His father worked as Head of International Relations of the Sports Committee of the Soviet state, his mother did the work of scientific research in the Institute of Materials Chemistry, Moscow. Mikhail has an older sister, Irina.


At the end of secondary education with a focus on English studies, Mikhail attended the Moscow Institute of Finance (now known as the Academy of Finance in the Government RF), where he graduated magna cum laude.


Mikhail's family instilled in him a strong work ethic and a love for learning and sports training, which would better serve in their professional activities.


Mikhail Prokhorov has an active lifestyle and is interested in kickboxing, track and skiing.


Prokhorov is the third richest man in Russia according to Forbes 2010 list with a fortune estimated at $ 18 billion.
