History of Susanne Klatten

Susanne Klatten (Susanne Hanna Ursula Quandt) was born on April 28, 1962 in Bad Homburg, Germany is the daughter of Herbert Quandt and Johanna, is the richest woman in Germany and one of the world's richest people.
After earning a degree in business finance, Susanne Klatten worked for the advertising agency Young & Rubicam in Frankfurt from 1981 to 1983. This was followed by a course in marketing and management from the University of Buckingham, and an MBA from IMD in Lausanne, where he specializes in advertising.
She gained experience in business in London with Dresdner Bank, Munich branch of McKinsey consultants and Reuschel & Co. Bank
Recognizing that their wealth is sometimes a problem, which often worked incognito under the name Susanne Kant. Police prevented a kidnapping attempt in 1978.
On the death of his father he inherited his 50.1% stake in chemical maker Altana and pharmacists. In 2006 Altana AG sold its pharmaceutical activities to Nycomed for € 4.5 billion, leaving only its specialty chemicals business. € 4.5 billion distributed to shareholders as dividends. Altana maintained its stock exchange listing and Susanne Klatten remained its majority shareholder. In 2009 he bought nearly all the shares in Altana did not already own.

His father also left her a 12.50% stake in BMW. He was appointed to the supervisory board of BMW with his brother Stefan Quandt in 1997.
